What you need to know about Ink-Jet printers

There are many inkjet printers on the market. Each of these printers carries a different technology or a similar one, but certainly not all printers are printing to the same quality or speeds. Some spray the ink onto the paper while others wipe it onto the paper.

Our choice of printers is that which will meet the majority needs of the SME as HP printers are all capable of printing standard invoices to brochures and with the correct paper can even print photo finish pictures.

How does the I-Jet freeflo system work?

The I-Jet freeflo inking systems comprises of four (CMYK) reservoir bottles (of 400ml capacity) connected to four separate ink cartridges with an advanced chipset. These reservoirs are filled to 200ml each and in turn they "feed" the cartridges as "demanded" by the printer heads. Ink flows freely from the reservoirs to the cartridges as there are no moving parts (pumps etc) nor is the unit powered. It is simply nature at work.

As printing is done and ink used, the heads demand more ink which is called for and supplied effortlessly from the cartridge. The printer is designed like this. Over time the cartridge calls for more ink from the reservoir which is readily available and so the cycle continues.

No intervention is required. Nothing can malfunction with the I-Jet freeflo inking system due to its construction. If problems occur this is between the printer and the heads and it is usually a communications problem with the software talking to the heads and the information passed back.
